Joshua is a dedicated special education leader who leads with heart. He believes that each student, regardless of their individual challenges, has the right to participate in the least restrictive environment, to access the general curriculum and to fully participate in all aspects of the school community.
He believes a student’s educational success is rooted in the collaboration between schools and families. As a former paraprofessional and special education teacher, he aims to use his practical experience as a guide for supporting both students and IEP teams.
In addition to his work in the classroom, he has also served as an Assistive Technology Specialist across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. As a strong proponent for conducting education, Joshua has provided professional development at both state and national conferences, served as a guest lecturer at ELMS College, and was an adjunct faculty member at Cambridge College.
Furthermore, Joshua is a member of the Massachusetts Administrators of Special Education (ASE) Executive Board and serves as an officer for the Western Massachusetts SPED Directors Association. Outside of school you will find Joshua in the kitchen, antiquing, or listening to the latest mystery thriller.
