GRADE POINT AVERAGE and CLASS RANK INFORMATION
Grade Point Averages (GPA) are determined by assigning values (4.0, 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0) to grades (A, B, C, D) for every major course attempted. Physical Education is not included in class rank. Honors and Advanced Placement courses yield an additional 1.0 point. GPA and rank are determined at the end of each academic year.
Starting with the class of 2010, Minnechaug will modify the reporting of class rank. Grade point averages will be indicated by deciles: top 1%, top 5%, top 10%, top 20%, top 30%, top 40%, top 50%, top 60%, top 70%, top 80% and top 90%. Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be recognized at graduation.
