Teaching Awards

The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District recognizes teachers annually to receive the Pioneer Valley Distinguished Teacher Award. This award was created to honor teachers in western Massachusetts who demonstrate enthusiasm about and excellence in the teaching profession. The awardees are selected by a committee of local administrators and past recipients based on criteria related to excellence in teaching, professional development, contributions beyond the classroom, and respect by peers, parents, and students.
